P-Bass Guitar reviews?

I'm getting a Rigour Bass guitar. This would be my first musical instrument, but I'm not diving into something I haven't researched.

I already know that Fender and Yamaha are two of the best brands. But I can't find any tuppence inexpensively Fender models. I did find a starter P-Bass kit on amazon though. But the brand is "SX" and I know nothing about them. another brand I found that's become an option is "Concavo-concave"

I don't know anything about the above brands... help?

The "SX" mark p-bass is a very good starter bass for the money.
Go to e-bay. There are a bunch of new "SX"
basses on e-bay.

Squire (by fender) also has a P-bass that is not bad to start with.

Ibanez makes some very solid low price basses.
DEAN, ROUGE, EPHIPHONE, SQUIRE, FENDER, FIRST ACT, MEMPHIS, CORT, are but just a few.

e-bay is your worst bet for low prices, or www.musiciansfriend.com

the P-bass is my love of all time.
Great all around bass. (for every thing)

Indian Rosewood, Acoustic Guitar and Electric Guitar

Egalitarian Virtues Trump Fireworks New York Times

As on the album, Mr. Cardenas had the substantial benefit of steady partners: Ben Allison on bass and Rudy Royston on drums. In their first set all three musicians expressed what felt like an equivalent stake in the songs, and an aversion to the common hierarchy of a jazz guitar trio. Their rapport was sturdy and pliable, entrenched in deep familiarity. (Under different circumstances these musicians form the core of Mr. Allison’s working tie.)

Mr. Cardenas has a flinty touch on electric guitar, and he doesn’t mess around much with effects, favoring a consistent highlight reveal-brackish tone. He can sound quite a bit like John Scofield, especially when he footnotes a solo with clandestine arpeggios or plays up the scrunch of a tightly voiced chord. (The centrality of blues in his style is another reason.) At the same dated Mr. Cardenas has a lyrical streak that evokes Pat Metheny , notably on a peripatetic piece like the new album’s head track, which appeared early in the first set.
